🌱Sustainability
LEED Gold + BREEAM Very Good
Refurbishment of two existing 1955 buildings – design incorporated over 50% of existing structure, with other materials carefully selected for low environmental impact
Includes use of composite steel + cross-laminated-timber structural frame to connect the two buildings
Optimised lighting: high-transmittance glass to ensure maximum natural light + glare reduction – all outdoor lighting calibrated to prevent light pollution
High-performance bathrooms, showers + tapware = 45%+ water savings
🥦 Wellbeing
Floorplates benefit from abundant natural light, flexibility, and volume – some spaces with 4m floor-to-ceiling heights
Campus vibe: central private courtyard + landscaped terraces connect the 2 buildings = perfect breakout space for meetings and events
Air purity = 30% improvement on ANSI/ ASHRAE Standard (62.1-2010) – via silent ventilation system with humidity controls and air filters, capable of screening out viruses + microscopic particles
57 underground parking spaces + 61 bicycle stations beneath the building
Designed to 1:5 occupancy – one of the highest ratios in the city
🎈Bonus feature
The building has been designed to alleviate the “heat island effect” by using light-toned flooring and maintaining plenty of green space. Deffo the city’s coolest new workspace.
