Serving 300,000+ residents, Brent Civic Centre, is the UK’s greenest local authority building. Community hub and heart, this mixed-use space forms part of wider the Wembley Regeneration.

  • BREEAM Outstanding (93%) – 1st to achieve this rating in its category

  • 33% reduction in CO2 emissions thanks to solar shading, natural ventilation + high-performance façade = £2.5m annual saving on lower energy and maintenance costs

  • Gardens incorporate permeable paving – allowing natural rainwater filtration – rather than conventional paving which directs surface water to central system, increasing flash flooding

  • Bio-fuel Combined Heat & Power (CHP) system utilises waste fish oil

  • Includes public amphitheatre, multi-purpose community hall, one-stop shop, wedding venue, and state-of-the-art library

🎈Bonus feature

Partnering with IT specialist Fordway, Brent Council have reduced IT power consumption by 80%. Through a desktop virtualisation solution, only 15W of power is used per desktop – compared with 80W average. Also, part of Avengers - Age of Ultron was filmed in the building.
