Wooden green

Revealing the structural possibilities of wood – a material currently experiencing a renaissance – Nodi is Gothenburg’s first wooden office building. Its unique timber-framed design resembles an inverted zigzag, with each ascending floor larger than the one below.

Pillar beam construction of glue-laminated (glulam) timber – using local Swedish fir trees – eliminates dependency on concrete
According to calculations, it only takes 60 seconds for a Swedish forest to grow all the wood required for a building of this size
A living material, wood responds to its surroundings and enhances the quality of indoor climate + humidity levels

Exposed wooden interior with deep seated niches creates a warm, cosy feel – showcasing simple but expressive aesthetics of wood
Highly rational office layout: 4 corner units on each floor organised around central communal/ amenity core – offers maximum flexibility
Floor-to-ceiling framed glazed windows generate well-lit environment
Shared roof terrace accessible to all tenants
🎈Bonus feature
‘Nodi’ translates to hub – and that’s exactly what it is. With its mixed retail/ office space, it serves as a communal centre and striking landmark in Gothenburg’s Nya Hovås district.
